A sunny sick day

These are photos from the beginning of last week when the weather was still nice. Weather at the moment – not so nice.

Oskar stayed home from school on Tuesday and Wednesday due to an ear infection. On Wednesday I was at home as well and with Oliver being in the nursery in the morning, we had a lot of fun quality time, just my firstborn and I. We watched a lot of YouTube videos on the mechanics of human bodies, talked about life and then just laid on our bed in the sunny upstairs bedroom and read – him his favorite Captain Underpants books and me my latest issue of Women’s Running magazine.

In the afternoon I switched my attention to my other child and went to the playground with Oliver. We stayed there until almost dinner time, soaking in the sunshine and just having fun.

It was nice not rushing around the entire day like I often do on my no-work Wednesdays, it was nice to just take some time to just chill with the kids.  I must do that more often.
