About
I am the mother of two boys (7 and 3). I also have an Aussie husband of 11 years, a cat called Kiki and a very patient live-in mother.
After living in Estonia, US, Germany and Australia, I have now lived in London for the past 6 years.
I work 4 days a week in a very surreal skyscraper ‘neighbourhood’ called Canary Wharf. Commuting in London takes a long time but at least I can read books while sitting on the tube.
Once upon a time I called myself a born-again Christian. I still go to church quite often, but I think that all organised religions are the same – (often flawed) attempts by men from different times and cultures to try to define the same higher being and/or to control others.
I believe that the most important thing is to be kind to others, to one’s own body&mind and to this planet.
I am learning to hug people more, I recycle my rubbish, I compost my food scraps, I give money to charities, I exercise (mostly running), I don’t eat crap (most of the time ;) sugar and most processed foods, and I let my kids jump on the bed more often than a bed should be jumped on.
This blog started in February 2005 as ‘crankymonkeys in london’ but I have now changed it’s name and moved most of the old posts about insomniac babies into an offline archive. I’ve always blogged mostly for myself and people I know in real life, but it’s awesome that more and more people I don’t know are reading this little diary/venting place of mine :)

Hi Mrs. B
My name is Ben and I am one of the editorial team here at Publishers Network.
I have just been on your website and I thought I should contact you regarding a small project I run that may be mutually beneficial.
We are currently seeking high quality publishing partners to post a page of our editorial content. This is high end, engaging content that your visitors will love. We would write the content to your brief and you would own that content. It would not be published anywhere else. We would place a link back to one of our content clients within the editorial. The link would be completely relevant to both the article and your site.
If you are keen to participate in this program just reply to this email for further information on getting started.
