Baked chickpea, peanut butter & chocolate chip balls

I don’t eat sugar (including honey) but the darn kiddies love sweet stuff a LOT, so once in a while I try to come up with sweet treats that are not a) from the shop and full of artificial stuff and b) home baked yet laden with white sugar.

Yesterday I found an interesting recipe on a lovely blog called Texanerin Baking. These peanut butter and chocolate bites are incredibly easy to make (chuck all ingredients into a food processor) and at least my kids loved them (of course I didn’t tell them that there are chickpeas in them :).

I guess because there is no flour, they don’t really look baked at the end, but they’re yummy regardless (I did taste just a little bit, just to know).

Full recipe and instructions are here.

  1. Oh wow. Yours look so much prettier! I love the crackles. I’m happy that your kids enjoyed them and I admire you for not eating any type of sugar at all. I wish I could do the same! Thanks for linking to me. :)

  2. Mesi on ju kasulik toiduaine, kui ei usu, loe siit:
    http://hellus.tere.eu/funktsionaalsus/mesi

Eile oli BBC2 hea saade- The Men Who Made Us Fat.

  3. They look so yummy!
Unfortunately my 8yo is now officially allergic to nuts:(
But maybe I can make them for myself, or is that to cruel..
