Sharing is caring: My favorite beauty products
The bad news is that without any make-up I look exactly like Cameron Diaz without make up – no eyebrows, no eyelashes, a bit blotchy and very pale.
The good news is that with make up I don’t look too bad – almost as good as Ms Diaz when she puts make up on :)
I am now old enough to say that I have tried MANY different beauty products over the years and I have finally settled down to using my favorites, not buying new stuff very often anymore.
Here are my tried and tested favorites:
1 Touche Éclat concealer – Yves Saint Laurent (best for under the eyes);
2 Sheer Colour Cream – Bloom (good creamy blusher that works on the lips as well);
3 Diorshow Blackout mascara – Dior (simply the best mascara);
4 Vitalumiere Aqua foundation – Chanel (great smooth foundation that blends in very well and has SPF 15);
5 Retractable brow definer – Bloom (a must for ladies with sparse eyebrows like me, very easy to use and creates very evenly toned eyebrows);
6 Mineral Powder Foundation – Lumene (great for taking a bit of shine off in the summer when I don’t want to use foundation);
7 Advanced night repair serum – Estee Lauder (night time serum that is immediately absorbed by the skin);
8 Immortelle Precious Fluid – L’Occitane (I use this as moisturiser during the day, it absorbes quickly and doesn’t leave my face shiny);
9 Brow Definer – Laura Mercier (my second favorite brow product, used with a brush);
10 Terry Light Expert foundation – Terry (another great foundation that blends in extremely well and is easy to use because of the brush that’s already attached);
11 Proactiv Renewing Cleanser – Proactiv (a gentle yet effective cleanser/exfoliator that keeps my spot prone skin in as good a condition as I could hope for).
Other than that I don’t use a lot of other make-up items. Sometimes I try lipstick, but I usually lick it off :|, sometimes I use eyeliner when I go out. Once in a while I use clay masks of various kinds and for after shower I love L’Occitane’s almond oil.
Now I just have to learn to blowdry my hair and then you’ll totally confuse me with Ms Diaz ;)
