It’s raining, it’s pouring… and I cannot stop moaning…
I think today is the day will ramble. I usually never do that.
It’s raining… again. We had a week of summer in April and nothing in May and then again a few days in the beginning of June, but the past week has sucked freezing temperatures and gale force winds and rain and rain and rain. Yuck. I think I have one of them Seasonal Mood Disorder things – I am totally unable to get that “life’s a peach” feeling when I’m freezing…
I’m thinking that it might be time to evaluate my current wardrobe. I tend to have this rule that May – end of August, I don’t wear: stockings, boots or (rain)coats. That means my bare legs are freezing today. I just don’t know whether it will help my SMD (see above) when I unpack all these items or whether I should just keep pretending that it’s summer.
Another thing that comes with cold weather is comfort eating of course. For me that’s cake… gluten free, but nevertheless… I’ve made two batches of date and walnut slice this week and have gone to bed with a massive stomach ache on more than one occasion. A cake addict just never learns.
I actually downloaded an app today to track what I’m eating. A tub of yogurt and 2 apples later I’m already way over the daily allowance of sugar.
Really??? That’s ALL it takes?
Yikes.
I’m doomed.
But anyway, tomorrow’s Saturday and if BBC is correct it will not rain until 7pm.

We have to get over it. The British summer is over…
