No, A&E does not stand for Awesome & Exciting

I was going to write a proper post but can’t. Everything is just too effed right now. J cannot sit or stand up due to some virus… a virus that’s damaged the balance system in his head. Doctors didn’t say how long recovery will take or what he should do other than rest… Naturally he’s feeling quite down and also worried about his job…

Happy new year to us…

  1. That’s miserable. No there’s not a lot doctors can do about it – here’s hoping it goes away soon!

  2. Arghhhhh…noooooot niiiice!!!!!!!!!!
Keeping fingers crossed for your hubby and sending some sanity over to you.

  3. Hugs to you all. I’m hoping we read a post soon about how it went away as suddenly as it appeared.

  4. When the NHS fails, Google comes to rescue… we have now determined that he has Labyrinthitis – he has all the symptoms of it. Good news is that it’s not permanent brain damage, but bad news is that it can take WEEKS to recover from :|

  5. You can check with one of our colleagues who is specialist in viral diseases he works with me and he can prescribe as well if needed. Do u want his contact?

  6. Doesn’t sound good :( Speedy recovery!

  7. Hang in there… Wishing you all strength to shake off all these bugs!

  8. Get better soon! Hugs to all!

  9. Oh how awful! My Dad had that (or something like it) last year. I’m afraid it took him months to get well. You could email me and I’ll put you in touch with him if you want to know more.

  13. Labyrinthitis is a horrible debilitating illness i had it diagnosed short after Malaysia trip 2009 april. It happened so suddenly and worse was i didnt know what was it or why i got it . I also went to A&E with that when they diagnosed Labyrinthis .I was on many diffrent tablets Serc. and some others which i cant remember anymore .I was walking like a drunk person for months and i even went to work which i think prolonged my recovery in a big time because it took me more than a year to get better and sometimes i now when i am bit stressed i get still anxious and even thinking of this makes me dizzy.I hope your hubby will recover quicker than i did ,i Reccomend lots of rest ,homeopathic remedies which should be custom made ,homemade lemonade with mint !
