Winter joys are here
My mother’s gone to Estonia until January, so yesterday was my first day home alone with both kids. They exhausted me :D
Last night in addition to the fidget who sleeps in our bed, Oskar came to our room about 5 times every hour from 1am onwards.
Today his stomach hurts, his ears hurt and his neck hurts. Needless to say he’s grumpy as. Oliver singing on top of his voice non stop doesn’t help.
Our medical practice didn’t have any appointments until Friday, but I did get to talk to a doctor over the phone. He left Oskar a prescription for antibiotics to pick up later this afternoon. No need to actually examine the kid. :|
I’ll keep alternating ibuprofen and paracetamol for now and see what tonight will bring before I pop open the antibiotics…

Stomach, ears and neck – well, that sure sounds like strep throat – BUT a rapid strep test only takes a few minutes! Good on you for holding off a little longer before actually giving him the antibiotics! I love our pediatrician’s office – walk in appointments available every day from 8 a.m. till 9, and they don’t hand out antibiotics like sweeties!
Crossing all my fingers for a restful and uneventful night. Here's hoping!!
